Had the chance to go on a Night tour in the 7th Lunar Month, courtesy of API

I dislike at all those photos really, and those non-routine videos thats meant to make u pay attention at certain things, then suddenly make another thing appear later on and freak the hell out of u. >_<
anyway~

let me combine this entry with my tweets to bring u the experience~

I really meant it when I said I wasnt expecting anything.
In as much as I believe in ghost, I believe that they have no power over me as long as I dont allow them to.
I believe in Science, that there will always be an explanation to everything we experience. A reason to everything.

But I do have my fair share of hearing Ghost Stories, and experiencing them at times.
Like one of the stories I heard,
1. Room is messy.
2. friend outside, along the corridor, speaking in an unrecognized voice, blood shot eyes.
3. request to be taken to red house.
4. Room gets cleaned up and organized.
5. friend regains consciousness but is unaware of what happened…

and the other,
1. Man lost during marching.
2. Second day, found sitting next to a tree, seated upright with cross-legged,
3. rifle and digestive tracts next to the person.

My real life experience:
1. Combine leadership camp.
2. Sleeping in classroom.
3. Awake in the middle of the night,
4. Heard people shouting command and doing drill in the basketball court downstairs.

Anyway, believe it or not, its up to u entirely

Ar yes, I’m utilizing foursquare as well.

so after signing the indemnity, get to know, we got going. We dont know where we are going beforehand, its always being revealed along the way.

while we’re approaching our first destination, Charles gave us a briefing, and Calvin went around to hand out souvenirs ~

1st stop:

turns out, its actually the resting place of someone that is of great GREAT significance.
Hmm…

Another tomb right beside them, also unmaintained:

Hmm… interesting huh?

and we got to a hut where the people who maintains those tombs in the Brown Hill resides. Like during the season, we’ll visit the tomb and do the cleaning stuff, and a person will come and collect fees for helping us maintain the tomb through the year.

and they called it Sadako mirror. Wah Liew e… -_-”

and we continued walking,
then we past by some Banana trees, and Charles began to share with us the story behind it.

two sides to it,
1. tie the string to the bud and well the spirit that resides the tree will have to assist the person.
2. tie a red string from the tree to the post of the bed and its a night of pleasure.

the 2nd one I’ve heard, but not the 1st one.
Oh and that new info of making sure it doesnt come unloose if not… *see tweet above.

Moving along~

Caught this outside the tomb house

Loads of dog barking even while we were approaching the house.
but not this one

Its just sitting there quietly. Even when we got near to it.

Charles was explaining that the family set up a house around the tomb so as to add more life to it. Kinda like a less lonely resting place. Cos the family would literally set-up mahjong table and cook and eat and have a gathering there. hmm…

was very irritated by the ants so I walked pretty fast… oki.. bad choice…

then we came to this square-ish cement set-up, which Charles stopped to explain, *as mention in the tweet above

It was a well that people used to use. Its now abandon and unused.
and Charles was saying
“Men did evil stuff inside…”
you know la, me being me, tries to be daring, wants to go up and see. So I climbed the steps, stop short of looking downwards.

Pluck up my courage and looked down.

Turns out, people throw junk in it. items like Cushion and planks and what not..

and we got onto the bus and continued to the next stop

Charles was sharing on the bus that why are poles being set-up along the roads of the Devil’s bend?
Why is it even called Devil’s Bend in the first place?

Turns out, this stretch of Upper Thomson Road use to be a road that many racers would frequent. Cos it has loads of sharp turns and hence the thrill. But well, as always such thrills = accidents.

and why are poles being set-up along the roads? and what on earth is it that dropped out from the trees?

Turns out, its actually Peeping Tom. -_-” Cos its dark road ma, so you’ll get couples making out in the cars. Then there’ll be peeping toms hiding within the trees.
So turns out that night, there was more than 1. and one owes the other money. Turned into a fight, and one of them dropped out from the hiding place and landed on the hood. -_-”

Police sets up those poles to prevent cars from parking by the roadside.

What a suspense story. -_-”

Then we got to our next stop.
Its just nice in the 7th Lunar Month Season, a couple of foreigners in our group. So we went to the Getai

interesting thing about it is that theres always a front row set aside for the people of the occasion. Don’t know why in this case there wasnt any. Hm…

Oh And this Guy!

I am serious.
At first I thought I was hearing things. wah… then one of our group mates came by and said he is singing a duet.
Wah! Choir I am in, Vocal Range I can hit. Parts I can sing. But never did think that one can actually sing a guy and immediately switch over to a girl’s part. *OwNed!

oh and speaking of which,
I was standing next to a car when Calvin pointed to a label on a car to direct my attention to. So we’re just talking about the label, when suddenly that lady singer came running and jumped into the car. >_<

Its really literally like what happens in 881. wah…
I was thinking the movie exaggerated. But no lo… is really like that one lo. Run Off Stage, Hop On Car and Zoomed. O_O

A little non-routine thing:

Came out in the Wan Bao the next day. But well.

Seriously, every new destination is like *fright meter reset*

Charles was explaining that this stretch of jogging path would stretch to Seng Kang

We walked.

We’re actually expecting to visit a house that was used to shoot the show “Where Got Ghost”
As mention in the tweet, the shooting was delayed by 2 days because of non-routine occurrences.

Oh how true is that man..

Visited a house thats owned by a TCS artist

and then we moved on,

I am so worried and chickened abt it that I asked @infernoxv for permission to hold his arms if im really shaky… and @superadrianme and his friend very kindly escorted me by staying close.

The government did a good job preserving it..

Why is it maintained?
Bcos the government wants to maintain a piece of heritage *within each location thats up for new development* whenever possible.

Urns.. which is used to contain ashes of the deceased.

Really… He refused to tell till the end of the trip.

moving on~

Didnt get to even walk around the estate..

so ends the 5hr road trip..

On the trip back, Charles shared the story of Changi Hospital and the story of soldier with digestive tract misplaced.

if you ask me, is it worth going?
I would say yes.
Not bcos im doing the post for them hence I said so.

But,
come on,
what are the odds of you going to these kind of places with experts.

think about gathering friends, island hoping, think about getting to the location.

And obviously these are not the only locations that the API tour would be held, Theres still so much much more places all around the island to explore.

Makes sense?

ya… Certainly has to think alot of reasoning for this kind of tour.

and yes, I certainly feel the creeps while blogging on the earlier part of this post…
