Hong Kong 20th – 24th Aug 2010
Hong Kong, Day 3 Part 1.
Adventure to hunt down the interesting sights in the streets
I walked so much that day………………………………….
probably 3 times of Somerset up to Dhoby Ghaut? O_O
3 times! Prince Edward MTR to Jordan MTR + plenty of strays n trying to find my way around ![]()

Started from Prince Edward MTR, got out from the correct exit, checked out the map, cant really recognize the place, didnt exactly bothered, just knew I had to walk in the same direction as where I came out from.
Walked a distance only to find it weird, hmm… Why am I wondering along Nathan road…
k, better be smart and wonder along the correct direction. ![]()
So went back to the map, tried again, got onto the right path and started walking.

Spotted this along the way, Cool Beans! Bamboo pole to balance and help carry stuff on the shoulder.

Same, they also do open-street selling.

Then finally…
Ladies and Gentleman, The flower street… *HuA…………….*

And so begins our hunt for the famous Tomato Beef Stall

Ya man… must climb uphill one, very steep…

Many many signboards…

they say its in the CBD area, so during weekday lunch time, its long long queue
Burger making in progress… *DND*

Small and cramp… sharing table is taken for granted.

Omm nom nom nom …

Curry chicken noodle
tourist from Taiwan~

Yup, they are excited about their food.
Chicken Chop Noodle~

I like their sauce, not too sweet yet flavourful and their chicken is well marinated!
*oh no… I am feeling hungry even as I am blogging…
Warm Milk Tea~

here we are~
Tomato Beef Macaroni

The tomato sauce is good, not like overwhelmingly tomato, doesnt give u the tomato suace from Cambell and of course the beef is *ThUMbS UP!*
Ah! and this~
from that burger making in process to my stomach. ![]()

NExt up, Queens Place, Stanely Market

more Pasar Malam style shopping and stone pavement. ![]()

They say Stanley Market is the lazy part of Hong Kong, I certainly do agree,
Kinda like you get a bit of shopping, a bit of activity yet not so much of a bargain or a noise, just chilling out on a warm day. Like -Zen-
said to be famous, but I’ve absolutely no idea cos I didnt research on
Ladies and Gentlemen, Gucci~
and the more Cosmopolitan part of it all~

Saw this huge bus turning in, into the street. I was like O_O
The driver is skilled one! *sALuAte!

and the scaling begins to get me to the foot of Victoria Peak

Day 2 – Discovery…
Strolled my way to the MTR, went by to a bakery for my breakfast ![]()
I believe in eating breakfast, I can skip lunch but I believe in eating breakfast~
“Dou Dou Mian Bao Xi Bing”
the “Dou Dou” idea put a smile on my face.

This ONe!!!!!!! I like! ![]()
Glutinous Rice cake with Red Bean/Sesame paste fillings~

The ones I had at Crystal Jade Bakery win~ cos the ones from this shop, the sides are too thick..
and my humble breakfast,
Bo Luo Bao

Nothing to scream about
Something Old, Something new, Something on its way

saw a bookshop and went up to search for what daddy asked me to buy, “Ci Yuan” ar ![]()
Should be able to see it during the last day~
Saw this long queue forming.
Oh, so they also sell Secondary school books at their commercial bookshops.

Hey Hey, the MTR that I need to be affiliated with

and Mrs Fields Cookies greeted me~

Turns out SG and HK MTR signboards are pretty similar ![]()

Same,
when the train arrives, there’ll be ppl who doesnt stand behind the yellow line…

Same, rush rush! find seats! quick!

The stop that I’m at, Tsuen Wan, its pretty much like Marina Bay, a fresh train starts from here. So I get seats most of the time
*most of the time*
Air Con Control O_O

Same,
“I dont have a backbone, I need to lean on the pole”

Same,
*or at least SG is trying to catch up, their panels blink too~

Same,
I’m running late, need to touch up on the train.

Same,
I read while I’m on the train~

Nicely done~

Another Tourist

and the girl did the “Nobody Nobody but you” dance after that
She Sang~!
My destination was at Central, I thought I could switch around cut some traveling time.
on studing the map again, I realize, no O_O it doesnt connect… Like “Hong Kong” MTR doesnt Connect to “Central” MTR on the map.
BUT…. it does actually…. they called it the “Paid Area” where you can walk the distance between the two stations.
One of their notice board~
Cool BeanS!

Random

Hey! They’ve got Admiralty too!
But in SG its called Hai Jun Bu

The “paid area” within and in-between the stations. Pretty Clean ![]()

ROB ME!!! :X

Hong Kong,
Day 1
Furthest alone thus far. ![]()

Furthest I’ve been was China, Nanjing with the school for exchange program.
Didnt get the seat next to the window so not really seeing whats outside…
BUt!
There was a window near the ladies and this was what I saw:

O_O
Fascinating isnt it!
My immediate thought…
you wanna know?
YOu sure you wanna know? ![]()
I wrote it down when I got back to the seats:
“When the clouds and the sea seems to be layered together and you get caught in between, not knowing which is more blissful. Is it seeing that sight or on ur way to holiday land?
Cheap thrill of eating Meiji Strawberry yogurt on a plane.. So sHiOk!

ar yes! no window seat but their screen shows whats underneath the plane in the earlier parts of flying. Check out the ships!!!!

and then arrival~

Hello Hong Kong~
Went to the visitor pick up area found the liaison and then got on the bus,

nice view isnt it? ![]()

Such bridge, such landscape.. where can u find it in SG…
Roads along the mountain!

Then I saw this,

HEY! thats like my church! Our Jurong west building! Or even like Orchard Ion, or Esplanade!
Turns out thats City Walk 2, right next to my hotel building
and Ladies and Gentleman, this is the view from my room ![]()

HaHaHA! 69th floor oki
dont expect anything less considering the pressure the body has to handle (inside the lift) just to get to the room.
Settled in, got bored so decided to go out and start shooting, get to know the neighborhood.

City Bus vS Country Bus

The bigger one goes to the bigger landmarks,
The smaller one takes one into the smaller streets.
Constructions…………….

Something old meets something new

Their Big Mac Meal is cheaper than Chicken McSpicy Meal. and its 24HKD, 25HKD respectively. meaning about SGD5. Cheaper~
Hey~ Daiso style, $2 items

come come, join the queue, wait for bus~

hAr~
Dinner day 1:

The Dim Sum were oki.. The beef ball is nice, the chicken and the bao… substandard…
But I really do enjoy the Cornsauce *sLuRP!
The sweetness of the corn, the onion irritation
and the horfun tastiness.
*I Like~
In an old school tea house,
with elderly folks drinking tea, chatting the day away

Of course I couldnt finish them, so blessed the two elderly folks with them.
Salty balls…

in 7-11:
Milk variety in abundance *Cool Beans~

familiar stuff, Bao Ji Wan and Pi Pa Gao

Elderly gathers outside to chill

Aunties in SG would gather in Kopi Tiam,
Uncles in SG would gather around to play chess.
Uncles in HK too~

Then its back to Hotel~
Caught this outside~
*Cool Beans!

View from the hotel lift lobby at 41st floor~

Wanna see hows it like at night?
