Everything Else

:) this is where the others that does not fit into the honorable mentions below come in.

Think this whole #shooturtweeple experience was great, the idea of experimentation with monochrome, the idea of seeing sights, the idea of meeting up with new friends. The bonus was really learning more about myself.

Guess the influence came from AZS1031 in UniSIM ba, (studing paintings, learning about lines of perspective and vanishing point and tons of others) but paintings and photos are still very different.
The other side of it was really exposure, being interested, realized that my angle shots started since then.

Its the motivation to capture moments that got me to purchase a DSLR, then it became all fuzzy and complicated and hence a visual treat for u aka blog readers (so I think) :D

Its really like what I mention in my Tumblr note:

Blessed-ness

It’s capturing the moments that gives me the satisfaction. That look of happiness, that look of raw emotions, that expression of the soul. :)

The composition, angles and style of photography comes as a bonus. :)

I’m thankful to be able to see, thankful to have so many good people, good opportunity. Thank You very much.

So here to share some of Everything Else. :D

Shot at the MRT, didnt realize shooting on top of a marble surface would give this effect. (literally placing the cam on top of the wall)

not lens dirty, was raining when we arrived.

Old Meets New in the photo above.

Realized that I have similar motorcycles in a straight line photo in Malacca Day 2 (1of4) Album :D

Caught this outside the Indian Temple, so I googled and check why Coconut?

Source: http://hinduism.about.com/od/artculture/a/symbolism_rituals.htm
The coconut (Sriphala) which is used in the making of a Purna-Kumbha (kalash) is also an independent object of worship. A coconut – Sriphala – the fruit of God, alone is also used to symbolize ‘God’ While worshipping any deity. The three eyes of the coconut represent the three eyes of Shiva (Trayambaka- Rudra).

Interesting aint it?
Side note: Reminds me of SK2

@ctham inspired this shot below. He said it’ll be better if its been drizzling. :) (I wonder hows it gonna be like… ripples maybe?) :)

can you find the vanishing point in this photo?

HUAT AH!

Got reminded of the cane used to cane people. :D Noun and a Verb :D

Interesting turnout on monochrome.

and another interesting turnout

came from:

Non-routine isnt it?

I like how the light rays cast itself upon the building in the photo above.

A foreigner walked passed while I was composing this shot, he commented “So interesting a design that it was done by Picaso, worth taking a shot.”
I was like  -_-”
If you dont know dont criticize.
Keep your views to yourself.
Probably he had a bad experience there.

Lone Ranger checking itself out in the “mirror” :D

it came from…

Got a feeling that I like shooting streetlights.

in Color:

familiar?

Bear was telling me, Indian shop in Chinese building in the photo above :D

Cross Road, Literally.

Come come, who want buy condo?

Naturally shaped

Prince of Wales
Happen to notice “The Verge” sign. Reminds me, “The Urge to Merge.” :D

Photos of the Lomos present. :D
Lomo sounds like 老母 in dialect, meaning Old Mothers. :D

Residents!

Its the people that gives the place the identity.

Was reviewing my shots when I notice, I took plenty of shots with people in it (not talking abt tweepers).

So I describled the album: “Ppl n situations that makes Little India Little India

Heres to share some. :)

*if you think Little India is all about Indians, you got to tweak that mindset a little. :)

Its interesting how the two photos above work out.

Same setting, difference is in the van.

Because its monochrome, the 2nd one looks really plain.

But if its in color, then the 2nd one would be the better looking one.

Thats in my opinion :)

Yup. He is a iPhone user.

Yes, I like cars.

We have chicken curry, mutton curry and fish curry. All got Potato!

Wanted to snap just the cardboard collector n her goods. So came out with a shot like that.

Happen to pass them by. They asked a random stranger to help take a group photo. Still remember one of them commented “This is like so cool!” when she reviewed her shot in the camera. :D

:)

There was this moment, happen to step down the pavement when I notice a pack of curry loosely sitting on the metal grills of a roadside drain.  I was very excited cos its like one in a million!

But I had to walk a few step forward cos a shopper was pushing a trolley across my path.

Then I heard *PiAk…

-_-”

thats it.

Such a waste u know…

Didnt turn to see whats left of it, grabbed bear by his pants pocket and I walked on. :)

Just as many other incidents in our lifes, its just not meant to be.

A friend commented, then turn back and make it happen again.

And I thought, isnt it the turning back that kept one stuck in a situation?

Move on, the grass is greener where you water it. :)

One thing’s for sure, I dont know how the broken pack look like. But I still have the fresh visual of that pack of curry nicely sitting on the metal grills in my mind. :)

Lets bring on the people!

>

This trip was organzied by the Good People of #shooturtweeple

of which its @inrsoul

oki, dont be frightened, he is nice. :D

and @ctham

:) He’s kind too. ;)

heres some super-duper awesome shots of the people~

The Story of the Bikes…

and one of the most versatile person I’ve ever seen.

I dont know of anyone that can handle as much look as him. Owned.

HIM, not her ya?

This is what I call the classic Bride-Taking-The-First-Step-Up-The-Steps scene

I like the lifting-up skirt feel, very dainty :) *sweet!

:) I like the contrast between a grown man and a building.

Paparazzi outside Civil Service Club :D

Hur hur hur…

“I’m right behind you bro!”

:D heres one shooting another thats sneaking up on the birds.

I like a commentary that was shared when one of them ran at the bird to scare it to flight.

Imagines the birds muttering under its breath. *You think what?! I’ll fly for you ar?* :D

Animals are all born equal, oki, maybe some more equal then others. :D

One of my favorite shot:

I like how everything is very chunky n structured, only that one person to focus on in the photo.

and of course! The very important Bear (on the left) that played the role of a Last Man. He probably wld have msg-ed his friends complaining abt me being slow and always delaying him.  [Last Man, So must post him Last] :D

oki, thats about all for now.
