PaPa Day 2010

how did you celebrate your Father’s Day?

My sister came over and I stayed at home. In the evening we went out for a meal and he request to take a stroll at Woodlands Waterfront.

πŸ˜€ Ya… I know again πŸ˜€

But no I’m a good girl, I didnt do long exposure. I snap and go snap and go.

Simple dinner: Chicken Chop, Lamb Chop, Chicken Wing, Fried Carrot Cake, Fish Soup with Rice. πŸ™‚ My brother made time. πŸ™‚

It was about sunset time when we went over,

This was P mode, direct shot, thats y it became like that. It wasnt exactly that dark. More like whats on the next pic~

Was walking halfway when my daddy sounded and said “Huo Cha lai le”
πŸ˜€ Train’s here, πŸ™‚ The one going across the Causeway~

and we carried on walking~

Can see the sun shinning on my dad’s arm… πŸ™‚ *nice…

It was about like this:

We went for ice cream~

Which was pretty surprising considering my dad is very strict about his diet.

My bro found a dog,

and we saw the gathering of the PaPas! πŸ˜€

Then the sky got really drama:

TaDa!

My dad enjoys talking about his glamorous past, and my brother hadnt been around much lately, so it was good excuse for me to be running about in close proximity with my camera. πŸ˜€

Talking about catching crabs and having crabs float/swim on the surface.

After strolling over to the other end and back, my brother decided to check out the adult friendly playground. πŸ˜€

He said he could handle the high elements in adventure parks, but this one, stepping inside the nets feels like stepping into emptiness. πŸ˜€
He’s at least 1.7m so its really adult friendly πŸ™‚

While me and my dad we’re just sitting down there drinking our yakult talking the night away. πŸ˜€

Soon it got late and we decided to walk home~

Happy Belated PaPa day to the daddys thats reading my blog~

Jiggle over to my flickr account to see the photos in better quality~

Skype is mobile communication like your telcos, ‘cept the difference is you dont pay for talktime, you pay for data charges. πŸ˜‰

|Woodlands Waterfront|

I used to visit the “Marsiling Jetty” with my dad when I was young, my dad would drive us there for a breather after a long day out.
Why Marsiling? Cos its very near my home area, aka Marsiling area. The whole stretch is like a jetty. πŸ™‚

Before it became Woodlands Waterfront, It was just a stretch of walking path that overlooks the sea to Malaysia.

Occasionally, we’ll hear the train passing by or the loud *HONKS* by the lorries and trucks that are jammed in the long queue of cars. πŸ™‚

At times, I would go there with my friends, take-away Old Chang Kee and talk the day away, or when I’m done with a relationship, just needed a breather to sort thoughts out, I would take a long stroll there.

Today, National Parks present to you Woodlands Waterfront…

I went by the other day to check it out.
Sure is buzzing with activities~!

NDP CCR1

My 2nd entry on NDP 2010 is out πŸ™‚

http://www.ndp.org.sg/ndpeeps/?p=164

continuing here on what I didnt manage to cover over there

When I saw everything on arrival, I was more interested in taking photos of the uniform group children. *Probably too much of a teacher le ba. πŸ˜€

But ya, that was the immediate thought, like you know… When I wanna shoot, theres always a sketch in mind, like wat angle, what I wanna see in my photo, those kind of thing….

anyway, πŸ™‚ let you see some of whats on my mind:

Standby for Water Parade!!! πŸ˜€

I like this:

As always, it never have to be the subject looking at the photographer in-order for the photo to be looking good. *k, in this case looking at me la. πŸ˜€

Happen to see this on the polo t of a photographer. πŸ˜€ *Flash us your smile. πŸ˜€

I tell you the weather was so hot… that even the canteen stall holders (whos indoor) are eating ice cream…

πŸ˜€

we had catered food πŸ™‚ Heres my boss (of the many many boss-es I have) Tommy showing off the catered food πŸ˜€

πŸ™‚ The man behind the microphone during the rehearsal:

People camera shy la huh πŸ˜€
Was there just listening to him evaluating the rehearsals…
“Sector YYY pls follow timing after … ” on and on and on just pointing out the details. (not in the room as in the photo, but on the actual ground through the sound system)
Wah, like the person with the bird eye view lo.
Dunno how to tell you, but its really tremendous.

Unless one have the experience, unless one know exactly what one is doing, I dont think one will be able to speak off and correct items at such precision lo…

*SaLute!

The Parade Commander. You’ll be hearing his voice on the TV on the actual day.
He is so FAIR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Got presence one oki, Even Ms Ng also dont dare to lean too close…
And I was on 3inch stiletto, so its not fair to compare height here~

kk, maintain maintain πŸ˜€

Found out that there are actually students from polys who would come down and do video productions as FYP. Then on National day itself, while the marching is going on, and you see those video on the big screen hanging behind, those are their projects. *interesting…

The hunk of PUB (so they say):

The landscape through my sunglasses:

The two gif that didnt come out right on the site:

oki, check out more over at the NDP site

What you see here is only part of it, Be Nice~ http://www.ndp.org.sg/ndpeeps/?p=164

Do leave comments, tell me what you wanna hear from the participants, what would you like me to ask them. πŸ™‚

Probably for security reasons, we (the bloggers) were brought around to be introduced. The whole time, I hear all the different different ranks.
At the back of my mind, a bell keeps ringing.

All the different ranks, it didn’t matter.
In as much as due honour is deserved, we all know.
Everyone has a role to play.
It’s not about one man, it’s not abt one woman.
It’s about the team, everyone.
