Different Language

images

Was watching Mr Bean’s Holiday on tv the other day. His adventure while he was trying to get to Cannes for the film festival.

and it struck me, how would it be like if I were to travel and spend a little time in lands of language I do not know…

pic_1322432694_6

Those countries that Speaks Spanish,

countries3

Japanese,

Korean,

heck, even Chinese,

or where I am now, Bahasa Indonesia,

hmm…

I think the euphoria when who ever I was seeking help from and I finally figure out something together. πŸ˜€

Or it’ll just be damn frustrating.

πŸ˜€

I’m too trusting to be experiencing all these adventure I think. Too innocent, naive and ready to part with my resources I think. πŸ˜€

HA!

My life is boring, because I seldom travel without a plan. Its almost to the extend that I plan things down to the dot in the “i” and the cross on the “t”.

Well thats if I’m alone.

But if i’ve set time aside to explore, I believe I would πŸ˜€ *as I did in Hong Kong.
Then again these are still residential and “civilized” locations.

I wonder if I would survive if its a nature park or some island with volcano? πŸ˜€

Whats your adventure like?

Hosting

Went by to a dinner event hosted by a friend, and the things that some of them mentioned evoked some emotions of mine…
Some said “its been long since they had such, so much fun”
Another that mention that they felt nervous.
and the crowd that was on the other end of the long table.
and of course the “the host would like to say some words moments”.

and I asked myself: “What happen to all that?” πŸ˜€
What happen to the table for 10 at Old School Timbre Mount Sophia?
What happen to the table for 7 at Brotzeit?
What happen to the table for 4 at whatever Italian restaurant?
What happen to the table for 9 at Tonkichi?
What happen to all the bloggers invitation?
What happen to all the exclusive invite, event coverage?
What happen to the picnic at cemetry? πŸ˜€

I laughed as I looked back. πŸ™‚
Yes, been there, done that, hosted, front to the back, left to the right, *ClinKed* *Drunk* *Signed the Bill*
and I realize how fulfilling and blessed my life has been. πŸ˜€

I think at 23yrs old I started hosting dinners and experienced the whole night of entertaining people. I applaude me.

But as we move on with time, our lifestyle change. πŸ™‚
I love me. and as I’ve mentioned, I am still awesome. πŸ˜€

HA πŸ˜€ I dont think theres another as self-assured or arrogant as I am.
While I dont throw so much eat outs, I still love the small groups that I would hang out with at random nights.
While I derived adrenaline and little bits of happiness from interactions and events as such, I learnt that sitting by the river with a good cuppa, dessert and company. Just a few friends recharges me more.

What recharges you? Have you found that balance, that peace, that little sanctuary that you can go to in your life? That certain activity that restores your balance in the heart soul and mind, that clears it all up and prepares you to claim more land?

Go figure.

Soldiers?

Was just watching tv and a thought came to me.

So soldiers risked their life on war field and fighting for the country.

Then what happens after war?

Kinda like they lose their job isnt it?
Is fighting a war for the country really just a job?

Do they really go out of job after the war?

Whats left of the skills after that? How are they still relevant to the society?
Martial arts trainers?
Discipline masters?
Body Guards?
Security Officers?
Consultants?

Do they then continue on the new “job” with pride, or the broken and with wreck up mind?
All the brain jizz after the war… are they still mentally capable to handle it?

What about us then? How do we looked at our job?
Do we risk our life and go all out for our job?
Do what we do requires such dedication?
Who decides it anyway?

What if we take our job and really be liken to a soldier on the war field?
What would be left of us?
What would be the outcome of the tasks we uphold?

What would it be like?

What would it take for one to give everything that one has?

Bio-Clock

I woke up at 4:30am on a Saturday morning…
5:30am in Singapore time.

My mind is super active by the time it hits 6am…

I have no idea what time the supermarket opens (and surprisingly their website don’t have an answer to that)

and I… am all over the place. πŸ˜€

Got to do something about this “nasty habit” of the “perpetual need” to accomplished whatever I have intended to do. Its not just doing it, its the sequence of having it done.

I know I wanna go to the supermarket, then settle lunch, then do whatever marking or whatever online stuff I had intended to do.
So having woke up this early, not knowing what time the supermarket opens. I was super restless.
I have absolutely no interest, whatsoever to blog or do work, nor am I in the mood to exercise or do cooking.
I want to go to the supermarket before anything else, and it shall be like that.

Good Lord…
its not like the supermarket will run away. Its not like I would die without the ginger or the garlic.

Haiz…you get the picture.
But on the bright side, accomplishing things and sticking to the plan is a good habit. So.. *pat pat*

πŸ˜€

and yes, I wake up at 4:30am, falls asleep by 9pm.. which is Singapore 5:30am, 10pm. :/
Yes, Technically, I have no life.

Then again, I’ve never felt more at ease with myself. πŸ™‚
Perhaps its because I have my own place and although its only grocery shopping, I feel “addressed”. Like meeting the inner need. πŸ™‚

I do club and drink and go cafes and restaurants when necessary.
But truth is clubbing and drinking is just a form of entertainment, socializing and presenting to people that I have a “life”.

Doing up the place, walking down the aisle in a supermarket recharges me. πŸ˜€
Oh I am so low maintenance. πŸ˜€ Ha! What the hell man.

I still need my Iris to zen with me at cafes.

Lock Out…

I got locked out of my apartment!

IMG_4986

Yup, I most gloriously did!
*sulk*

Because I left my Indonesia key pouch in Singapore.
All the keys thats for use in Indonesia…
Including the key that is use to unlock the padlock on the luggage.

…

Such a big boo boo isn’t it…
Anyway, thank goodness I was scheduled to return the following week and could get the maintenance people to replace my lock.

Had to hand over my identification card for warranty and am so bless that there as a chinese who could speak Bahasa Indonesia to help me translate while I was stuck, waiting at the lobby.

Praise the Lord!

Baby on Craft

IMG_5207

the time has come…

For me to sit next to a pregnant lady, with a baby on an aircraft!!!!!!

Good Lord!!

But Praise the Lord! the baby wasn’t so much of a nuisance. πŸ˜€

Although the baby was cute, I sure did witness how the mummy became “cute-tified” to bring out that smile in the child. πŸ˜€ Good Lord… Will I be like that when its my turn?

But I wonder how to children react to air pressure change, okay, maybe not react, cos most of them would probably cry.

I believe in the pinch nose, blow air backwards, towards the ear canal tactic. But how to teach babies to do that? So poor thing. Pain, cry. :/

Anyway, until then lar huh. πŸ™‚
