Facebook Fatigue, Friendship, and Focus

Came upon this article and I felt it was quite interesting..
Hmm…
food for thought indeed 🙂

I call it Facebook fatigue. It seems I develop a case several times per year. In the past it has led to the deletion of my Facebook account, and the urge to do so is upon me again. There are many factors that contribute to the development of this debilitating neurosis. Let’s discuss some of them.

1. Facebook games. These games are a ridiculous waste of time, but I can’t judge people for playing them because I also waste time, just not in the same way. The difference is that I’m not spamming my friends’ newsfeeds with updates on my time-wasting activities. These super-annoying notifications are easily disabled by the perpetrators and therefore entirely unnecessary. To combat this bothersome blight, it is possible to hide the games so as not to receive further updates, which I have done. Nevertheless, new games are continually overrunning my defenses and pillaging my newsfeed.

Street Photography

Was looking through my photos when I came upon the “Reuben’s Street Photography” album.
We were out together, he took my camera and started snapping away.

It was me who gave it that title, “Street Photography”.
It was because its simply photos thats taken on and of the streets. *maybe more than just streets.

That made me think, whats “Street Photography”? What defines “Street Photography”?

Stadium Station

Pass by Stadium Station yesterday, got off the train and took some photos.

While im on the train level, the sight is gorgeous!

Like so pretty right!!!!

Then I went up…

O_O Is there an end to the steps???

apparently yes and it looked like that:

Imagine if someone were to accidentally push u while u are at the top of the steps… like… from here…

Ms Ng never had a problem with heights, or standing on my stiletto…
But this time, while on the escalator, I was freaked…
Like oki… HANG ON to the escalator handles…

and while I’m facing the staircase from the top…
I was like, OKi… time to walk away…….

My goodness…
Scare the socks out of me….

Luckily there is the lift…

and hey, nice view from here

But cant blame la huh, considering the crowd that is expected from the surrounding places….

As usual, theres always room for improvement~

🙂 Go check it out, I’m gonna go Bras Basah station next time~

Customer Service

went out to look for a radio,
was in a shop when I saw this from Akira

I was very tempted, it was going at $45. Talked alittle to the shop assistant in the presence of the boss.

Then thought maybe I should go around a little more.

Went to get dinner, then came back. Thought ya, probably should just buy this and get it over and done with. (When customers comes back, it probably means they want to buy something from you.)

Asked for a new set rather than the display one, can sense that the boss is not happy.
Didnt care, I’m the one paying after all.

The shop assistant briefly mention the content and wanted to pack it away,
I ask for them to test it.

They plug it in, reception came on, it was noisy needed tuning,
I noticed that the LCD display is not showing anything,
So I mention that to them.

The shop assistant tried to look for buttons and things that they might have forgotten to press,
the boss said “aiya, its like that one la, probably you have to tune it to the correct channel then it will appear on the LCD display.”

I refuse to believe that, so I mention to get me another set instead.

So the shop assistant reached out and wanted to get another box, but the boss set, “use the display set will do”

We went through the same process of tuning, it still doesnt appear on the LCD display, but when they switch to the CD mode briefly I noticed the indication no CD. So alright, the LCD display works. I just let the shop assistant continue toying around, cos they havent give me a solution.

Then the lady boss said. ” I already say, cos the radio doesnt recognize all the channel mah, must wait for the correct tuning.”

I was very upset when I hear that,
When she said that, I made up my mind not to buy from her.

Why?

Lousy customer service.

I handle 30 kids, I dont feel irritated, but this 1 lady, 😀
You know its bad.

But nevermind~ I went on and found something interesting~

Say hello to my new 5.5″ TBo + Radio~

😀

Felt “a y not, small tv in my room. Sometimes when timing is tight, but I really wanna know, hear whats on tv, this would do fine. And I’ve got radio too.”

Its Black and White, but come on, with all that huge, flat tv out there, this is gonna be an antique soon enough. 😀
Classic stuff. *wOoT!

If I really want to see color, just go to the living room~

hey hey, bought it at $56.

Yes, Ms Ng dont mind spending money, but Ms Ng mind bad service.

*feels wrong to say Be Bless here… dunno why.
anyhow,

Love,
Amanda

Tramp Stamp

Happen to be reading an article on tattoo and came upon this term, “Tramp Stamp”

My, theres a meaning to it, in fact its a label.

From Urban Dictionary,

2. tramp stamp
“Tramp Stamp” is a derogatory term referring to a tattoo which a women places on her lower back. It is especially popular among women born in the late 70’s, 80‘s, and even early 90’s. Fair or unfair, these tattoos have a socially constructed connotation associated with them. These women are labeled as tramps, whores, or other derogatory sexually promiscuous terms. Although these are often bias generalized claims, there have been sociological studies done by the American Psychological Association, Federal Bureau of Prisons, and other demographic researchers showing strong correlative evidence associating tattoos with high risk behavior, illegal substance abuse and sexual promiscuity. These risk factors are greatest in the age range which these types of tattoos are gaining main stream popularity. Some have also jokingly stated that by 2050, the “tramp stamp” will be renamed the “gramp stamp”.
Those chicks with tramp stamps are the kinds of girls you take home to bang. Don’t get into relationships with them because they are often immature gold digging sluts who sleep with everyone. Oh yeah, make sure you use a rubber because you don’t want to end up with chlamydia trachoma (which 1 in 20 women have between the ages of 14-39 according to the center of disease control… probably much higher if they have a tramp stamp considering the scientific coloration between sluttiness and tramp stamps). Also, if they pop out a baby (which they often do), they may have issues getting epidurals through their tattoos in the lower back.
