😀 I’m involved in Blogging for NDP 2010!

Its gonna be busy busy all the way until Mid August.
Thank God my involvement is on weekends only, I’m still running around in school on weekdays~  *work life balance in the test

Think alot of us noticed my new page “EPS Sports Day 2010” 🙂
So sorry that it is currently password protected. Its actually meant for the school website, so need approval from No.1 before I can host it up over there and here.

On the side note, because of shooting for that event. I am horribly sunburnt. Totally reminded me of my Malacca trip except this time, it isnt the Polo-T burnt. 😀 Its a TATTOO burnt. 😀

On the side note, was force to eat humble pie today.
Had to learn from someone whos… oki, not the typical kind of person I would learn from.
1. Overdo the diction part
2. Not good enough at spotting mistakes
3. Use all the technical terms and jargon assuming that the people knows.

anyway, as it is la,
Humility is never humility is tested.
Loyalty is never loyalty until tested.

Renae (Hamster)

Went to the doctors the other day and had to wait for a very very long time.

Me and my itchy backside decided to step into the Pet shop next door.

Lo and Behold…
I saw these:

That is the beginning of my Hamster adventure. 😀

After chatting with a friend, realize those in the photo were Dwarf hamster.
I love the 2 colors, like when its sleeping, the breathing, u can see the rise and the fall… *I am so stolen away

Tweeted about it to a friend whom I know rears hamster, and he hooked me up and recommended me the Syrian species.

Fast forward to a week later, @sidneyreuben brought me down to meet @hamsterhoarder

and I bought Renae!

In-case you didnt know, Earth Hour 2010 was on 27th March, 8:30pm. Everywhere around the world, according to their local time, people switch off the lights for 1 hour. 🙂

Went for the Nuffnang’s Blogger Symposium recently,
It was in collaboration with Canon to promote their S90
*I so want a Canon S90! My goodness! Can I just cover my eyes ignore everything and just go ahead and buy the camera? O_O Goodness!
FYI: Dont see it small and compact, Canon S90 uses the same sensor as Canon G11

It was also the first time I met @luvyun!!! She is so nice! *So Bless! Just that day itself I met 2 of the nicest ppl I’ve ever met in my life~ Reuben and Sue! Love them to bits!


Surprisingly they tot I was there for the Photoshop Queen’s segment. 😀

Dr Leslie shared plenty of food photography tips, (do sign up for his talk that is with Canon) one of which that left the deepest impression was the one part that he mention when he was talking about 1/3 scale.
Let me show u an example.

Its very common for people to shoot food photo like this:

The whole plate (including the clean kitchenware) included in the photo.

In as much as these photos shows the whole picture of the dish, the audience dont really get just what is so tasty about the dish.

Lets bring the camera up close and personal.

Same dish, same camera, just different angle.
Now, do you know what you are suppose to eat? suppose to taste?

Got a call from @sidneyreuben to arrange for a meetup, So long no catch up with him, totally miss this young boy… *right… oki… 6mths younger
Anyway, so decided to meetup for a meal then go over to barcampsg to support a friend~ @mhisham

I’m very fascinated by him as a person. hmm… shall not elaborate here, but click here to find out why.
I wouldnt even realize it until… Well, go see go see.

Anyway, coming back, Whats Barcamp?
I have no idea. its like… o_O?  …   O_o? … o_O?
hmm… I shall go and experience it, thats how answers are found.

Well, from my short trip there, I gathered this.

is a series of very informal talks

oki, maybe not series, cos there aint exactly like linkage or part 1 or part 2 to it.
Its informal talks by the people that has something to say about that topic.

Like for example:

So you wanna listen to them, (in-another words, help them secure their slots to share) you got to vote for them.

How to vote?

no need ppl to man the booth, everyones involved. Listening, Speaking, Networking, Catching Up, Sharing Views, Stirring Up a Business Idea


Help yourself to be recognize by putting up a nametag~

Incidentally, when I was there, the good people from tech65.org was recording one of their podcast.
It was on Google in China, HTC Evo and US’s personal website for every citizen. (dont exactly rem is it US or UK)

It was good, sitting round on a table just sharing your knowledge, point of view. Giving valuable inputs and receiving new information which I otherwise wouldnt have even been aware of.

Reminds me of my days as a Radio DJ streaming from Winamp player linking up with MIRC channels *got crowd one hor, dont play play.

🙂 Went out to do a Runwayshoot. Just had to experience it since it was dangling in my face and I’ve got invitation. 😀

Its was an interesting experience i would say. like @GenkiGenki said, “dont worry about the technical stuff, just enjoy urself.

and @inrsoul said abt keeping the other eye open, that was very valuable, cos while I was trying to shoot this model, another model marched right out. WOH!
My head was swinging left and right the whole time (almost) 😀

Was just looking at some other photographer’s album… -_-”
I am so entry level. -_-; *dig a hole and hide

but nvm, I had an interesting time and everyone starts somewhere. 🙂

It was absolutely stunning! Loved the food and the company~

And it is very different when you have menus like that:

It was all that classic look,
dont expect photos of food like the norm in restaurant.

They give you a list of base (Spag, home-cook,fusilli), main (chicken, fish, seafood, etc) and sauce (cream, tomato, laksa etc)  and You call the shots!

went to watch my 1st ever 3D show today with a really blonde blonde. 😀

Was walking towards the cinema looking for a familiar face, turn here turn there couldnt find, then suddenly noticed this blonde head rushing forward to watch the trailers screen. 😀 that got to be him! and thats the absolute chance to take a photo of him w/o him noticing. 😀

He’s not dumb really, just happen to have the tweet handle @DUMBellz 😀

Watched Alice in Wonderland.
Think this is a movie that really needs to be watched in 3D.

Really like the believed-in-the-impossible mindset of the show.
“Sometimes I’ve believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast.”

Impossible 1: There is a drink that can make me shrink.
Impossible 2: There is a cake that can make me grow.
Impossible 3: Animals can talk.
Impossible 4: There is a cat that can disappear.

# DRINK ME — The potion Alice drinks to shrink is called Pishsolver. The cake she eats to grow is called Upelkuchen.

# SWEET AND SOUR — Actress Anne Hathaway, who portrays the White Queen in “ALICE IN WONDERLAND,” decided that her representation of the character wouldn’t be completely vanilla. The White Queen comes from the same gene pool as the evil Red Queen, after all, so Hathaway envisioned a “punk rock vegan pacifist” and was inspired by Blondie, Greta Garbo, Dan Flavin and Norma Desmond. – Esp for u @vickilew

# ON WITH HIS HEAD — Crispin Glover portrays Stayne, the Knave of Hearts, in the film, but only his head appears on screen. The body of the character, who’s seven-and-a-half feet tall, is computer generated. On set, Glover wore a green suit and a pair of stilts to make him taller.
